Description

A very nice English mahogany tilt-top table, mid-19th century, offering great presence and beautiful warm patina across its broad rectangular top.

The surface, lightly restored, shows lovely vertical grain and polished depth, with some age-related wear that only adds character. It stands on a strong tapering column and a substantial platform base with bun feet, fitted with the original concealed brass castors.

The top tilts smoothly on its brass catch; bolts securing the top have been replaced, but the table remains solid and stable.
